The Chamber is consulted by the Borough Council on planning applications concerning the town centre, especially those which have a bearing on commercial properties.
On a day to day basis the Chamber is run by an executive committee, elected annually, and who meet on a monthly basis to discuss matters relevant to the business life of the Horley and District area. Meetings are normally held at the Farmhouse Pub at 18.00 hrs and are open to all members, although only executive members may vote. It is good to hear everyone's opinion on matters brought before the Chamber.
Dates of forthcoming meetings can be found on the Diary Dates page.
Lunch meetings, are often held with speakers on interesting local
topics. These are held approximately every other month
and details of future
lunches can be
found on the
Diary Dates page.
The Chamber aims to represent
the business community of the
area, looking after the interests
of the commercial operators as
a whole rather than as individuals.
We have official representation
on:
• The Gatwick Airport
Consultative Committee
• The Town Centre
Revitalisation Group, and
• The Horley Town Centre
Management Group.
